POSITION OBJECTIVE: Advance the development, implementation, execution and management of a comprehensive investor relations strategy and plan for the organization. 


REPORTS TO: Vice President, Corporate Development


MANAGES: Has no direct reports    


Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact, arranging and tracking meetings with, and addressing inquiries from, shareholders, investors and analysts in a timely manner, providing accurate and information on topics ranging from clinical development pipeline, commercialization infrastructure, other business divisions and financials
  • Strengthen relationships with current shareholders and expand shareholder base through identification of new potential targets, support communications with investment banks
  • Plan and support the Company’s participation in investor and analyst events, including roadshows, bank conference participation, and other investor events (i.e.: R&D days)
  • Prepare and maintain investor-facing communications and messaging materials such as press releases, corporate/investor presentations, earnings releases, etc., support consistency in messaging over time
  • Manage, organize, and support quarterly earnings calls, disclosures, and logistics
  • Work with management and internal groups to anticipate investor questions and regularly produce Q&A
  • Monitor and analyze sell-side financial models and valuation frameworks
  • Research and monitor competitor, regulatory, broader industry, and capital markets landscape
  • Support the design and implementation of a comprehensive corporate communications program, which addresses a broader group of stakeholders besides investors, including public relations, social media, physicians, governmental authorities
  • Must be available for up to 25% national and/or international travel
  • May perform other duties as assigned


Required Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree in life sciences related field or MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in investor relations or as an industry analyst in the biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, or pharmaceutical industry
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in leading and managing investor and analyst events, relationships, communications and messaging
  • Knowledge of SEC and related requirements for public company disclosures required
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in financial modeling and analysis preferred
  • Proven experience in effectively communicating with the investment community

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available for up to 25% national and/or international travel
  • May be home or office based depending on location of position
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
